What are Wax Melts and how do we use them?

Wax melts are a great option to create scents throughout your home.

What are wax melts?

Our wax melts are made from the same material as our candles (soy wax) but they are burned without a wick.

They a lot of times look like a bar a chocolate and can be many colours depending on dyes and different oils used.

Our wax melts are natural and have no dyes added.

How are wax melts used?

Break off a square and place it in either a electric wax warmer or a tea light candle burner.

The wax will slowly melt and release fragrance into your room.

Wax Melts v Candles?

To release fragrance from a candle you need to light the wick. The maximum time recommended for burning your candle is 4 hours. Candles do create a small bit of light and change the feeling in a room for the better. Candle vessels can become quite hot. Over the life of a 210g candle you will get a minimum of 30 hours burn time but usually a lot more if you follow the candle care guide.

Wax melts can either be burned in a burner with a tea light or wax warmer. Each cube will give you approximately 4 hours fragrance so one clamshell can give you approximately 24 hours fragrance but usually a lot longer. Wax melts are usually a lot cheaper than candles so they are really cost effective.

Are wax melts bad for you?

No wax melts are not bad for you. Wax melts do not generate soot and if you choose to use a warmer there is no flame either.

Do I need to dispose of the wax once it has hardened?

No usually each cube will give you 4 or more hours of fragrance. When you let you wax harden you can relight your tea light or turn on your warmer to melt the wax again. You can change the wax once the scent is gone.

How to remove your wax melt?

Once your scent is gone you can either scrap out the hardened wax but the easiest way is to melt the wax down slightly and if you push from the side of the wax it will have loosed and you can throw into the bin (ensure not to fully melt the wax as it will become to hot to touch). Another option is to melt the wax a soak it up with a cotton wool ball.
