My Story

I’m Sue, founder of A Little Bit of Scents.

Like many women, I spent years balancing a demanding corporate career alongside raising a family and running a busy household. Life was full from morning until night work responsibilities, family commitments, endless to-do lists and the constant pace that so many of us know all too well.

On the outside, everything looked under control.

But like many people, I often found myself moving from one task to the next without ever taking a moment to simply pause.

Over time, I came to appreciate the small things that could completely change how a day felt. Lighting a candle at the end of a busy evening. A familiar fragrance filling a room. Creating a home that felt warm, welcoming and comforting.

Those simple moments became more than a daily ritual. They became a reminder to slow down, be present and enjoy the little things that often matter most.

And that’s where the idea for A Little Bit of Scents began. 

The name comes from a phrase many of us in Ireland grew up hearing:

"If you only had a little bit of sense."

Often spoken with care, warmth and good intention, it was a gentle reminder to slow down, think things through and take a moment. That simple piece of Irish wisdom stayed with me and became the inspiration behind the brand.

I created A Little Bit of Scents to bring more of those moments into everyday life. Not through perfection or complicated routines, but through beautifully crafted fragrances that help transform a space, evoke a memory and create a feeling of home.

Every fragrance we create is inspired by the moments that matter most cherished memories, familiar places, meaningful experiences and the comfort of everyday life.

Proudly based in County Kildare, our collections are built on four values that guide everything we do:

Today, my mission remains simple: to create thoughtfully crafted fragrances that help people create spaces they love, moments they remember and homes that feel uniquely their own.
